The snowdrops, though --these are tough little plants. They're happy to bloom right through the ice. They're just coming up, and it'll probably take them most of March to really emerge and bloom. These few will turn into larger clumps, and at some point they'll be waving in a warm breeze. Thank goodness spring returns each year.

Our Snowdrops are blooming also, and we're getting snow tonight.
ReplyDeleteI just found my snowdrops in bloom yesterday, and there is at least one crocus ready to bloom. Despite the forecast for snow here, too, I know that spring is on its way!
ReplyDeleteI've never had -- but often wanted -- snowdrops in my garden.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I had my Snowdrops covered with mulch and leaf mold, so they're just now stretching and greening and getting ready to bloom. Maybe tomorrow. :) Happy spring!
ReplyDeleteSnowdrops are always on my To-Plant list, but somehow never actually get planted. Maybe this post will be just the kick in the pants I need to finally do it!
