We woke up this morning to a light dusting of snow, and temps in the low 20's. Maybe that will send these two plants into dormancy!

December blooms
I was filling the bird feeders yesterday, and came across my flowering quince, which apparently thinks it's spring.
The heather is heading into summer, I think --blooming more than before!

Wow, that is something to see the quince flowering. Mine is growing nothing but feathers these days--it's a favorite roosting spot for the sparrows. Still no snow here, but I don't mind if it waits till Christmas to appear.
ReplyDeleteWe did have a fairly mild November, but I was really surprised by that quince! I just hope it still has enough buds for spring :-)
